10 guns seized during traffic stop of man and woman from Paterson, Attorney general says

A man and woman from Paterson are accused of illegally bringing 10 handguns across state lines into New Jersey   weapons that allegedly were confiscated after a traffic stop on Route 78 in Warren County.

Arrests made in April: Authorities said the arrests by the New Jersey State Police Weapons Trafficking Unit happened on April 11, but the state Attorney General's Office did not issue its announcement of the bust until May 8.

The driver of the vehicle, Ashraf D. Abedrabbo, 28, of Paterson, and his passenger, Martha G. Castillo-Medina, 30, of Paterson, were charged with conspiring to unlawfully transport firearms and other gun crimes.

What police said:
State officials did not say where the two people allegedly obtained the guns or where authorities think they were taking them.
