Here's an excerpt about tomorrow's SCOTUS conference. Supreme Court Second Amendment Update 2-27-2025 The two cases in which the gun-rights community seems to be the most interested have been relisted to tomorrow's conference. The first (Ocean State Tactical) involves "large capacity" magazines. It has been listed for conference seven times and rescheduled twice. The second (Snope) involves "assault rifles." It has been listed for conference six times and rescheduled once. There is another magazine ban cert petition in the pipeline. The due date for the cert petition was yesterday, but SCOTUS takes a day or two (or three) to create a docket for newly filed petitions. The docket was not available at the time of this writing. That case is Andrew Hanson, et al., v. District of Columbia, et al It is rare, but not unheard of, for a cert petition to be relisted this many times without being either granted or denied. If denied, then this many relists strongly suggest that one or more justices are writing a dissent to the denial of cert or a statement regarding the denial of cert, or both. If granted, we could know as early as tomorrow. If denied, we will have to wait until next week when SCOTUS publishes its Orders list. CharlesNichols.substack.com |

fwiw: New Jersey Firearms Owners Syndicate @NJFOSyndicate Over the past week, we have seen two sets of order lists from the Supreme Court, a lot of which was a bunch of administrative, housekeeping orders. Today the Court dealt with a bunch of disbarment orders (ruling on appeals for disbarment for attorney membership at the Supreme Court bar). We saw a bunch of denials with lengthy dissents. Over the last two conferences, only one grant of cert has been ordered so far, Dwayne Barrett v. US, 24-5774, which is a really narrow 4th Amendment/double jeopardy question. Two potential things we can glean from this. When the schedule gets set for Barrett v US, it will almost certainly be for the October 2025 term so this probably definitively answers the question as to whether there is any chance that SCOTUS will hear any more cases this term. Given the amount of housekeeping in these last two order lists, it may well be that the Court is cleaning out its in-box from last term and has not really moved on to setting the schedule for the major questions it will hear next term. Normally this many re-lists would be a bad sign, but there could still be hope for both Snope v. Brown and Ocean State Tactical.

its cool to see videos of the young generation fighting the bullshit. even back in the day when i was opposing all this shit, i cant count how many pussy ass miserable Fudds i ran into at Fort Dicks, and Cherry Lame that all supported mag restrictions, and even more dumb the bayonet lug horse shit. so its cool to see the fight, but as you pay huge taxes, they take those monies and stick it right up everyone's asses. i can deal with pistol permits. PA has it too, but you dont wait. its basically registration of every handgun sold. gets submitted. but enough with stupid shit like stocks and bayonet lugs. lol and the fkn mags. what did all these laws do in Newark last week when that little maggot scumbag killed the Officer ? 1000s of cameras all over ? layers and layers of laws. what did any of that do to stop it ? or the next one ? whats Murphy got to say about that ? |

The laws in NJ are designed to control you and me and not the criminals like that 14 year old who used a Glock switch to kill that cop. Murphy and Platkin don't care. They want to make us dependent on them so they can rule over us the same way a pet owner rules over their dog or cat. In other words, our liberty is a threat to their agenda. My daughter and her husband just closed on a couple of acres in Pike County. PA is starting to look pretty good from where I'm sitting here in NJ. |

i been telling you PA is the only option. but you told me keep up the fight lol. i figured it out 35 years ago when Florio stuck it up all our asses. i work in NJ , for a family run old school minded Company. its the ONLY reason i enter the state at this point. my life has been in PA. there is plenty normal priced houses to buy. if you dont want to be picky..most of them will need work as PA people are notoriously cheap and will want full tippy top price for a house they didnt put a dime into for 30 years. dont need land to shoot on as there is 100's of places to shoot a gun. your a real nice guy and a Patriot. and ill gladly tell and show you and even introduce you to people i know. as most poeple wont these days. or they want to be paid for their knowledge. sure there is plenty of jerkoff Fudds to deal with in PA .and im not afraid to call them that. they are super ignorant and many Democraps. but its not a Gestapo Gov that robs so much of peoples monies and wont give the slightest inch on 2A. a Constitutional Right. and their BS does nothing to stop real crime. as we just saw. and where is the 14 year old scumbag ? did he even have a Glock switch in the gun ? i dont watch tv news anymore. i dont pay for pay tv. so i get news from here or word of mouth. so let me know... im easy to get a hold of. and spend most my time not in NJ. yes the carry was a huge win. bigger then most younger people will even understand. but they are not going to give the mags back. and a bayonet lug that joke isnt even worth the money to fight it. as there is so much nice stuff out there at this point. and if the shit ever hit the fan any M4 with or without a stupid bayonet lug and a reliable sidearm in a normal common caliber is all one would need. NJ at this point will just keep bucking the cases that are being fought. so its a waste of time and money. they will keep dragging their feet hoping until they can get the supreme court more blue in the years ahead to get rulings back to their liking. so my opinion, dont hold your breath on mags etc. and like we see bad guys as usual dont give two shits.. so why stay ?? and pay all that tax to them to be used against you ? thats all ill say about it. |

Yeah, that so called kid used a switch on the homemade gun which are both illegal in NJ. That's how much NJ gun laws keep us safe. They don't. Teen charged in Newark cop's murder was firing a ghost gun with device that converted it into 'world's smallest machine gun' The Bruen decision was a game changer for me. It gave me hope and lit a fire under my butt to get more active not only online but also in person by attending many 2A events. I still believe we should continue the fight here in NJ because if we don't, the anti gun agenda will only continue to spread in the free states. A few years back I was looking at a 4 bedroom house on 10 acres in PA for $150k but my friends and family talked me out of it. A couple of months later Covid hit. Now that same property is $500k. I've been kicking myself in the butt ever since. I'm happy that my daughter and her family are planning on eventually moving out of NJ when they retire in a few years. Thank you for the kind words and offer to meet up. It would be great to meet you in person. I'll be busy in the coming weeks and will be out of state taking care of an elderly family member.. Yes, someone's actually older than me.  I'll let you know when I'm free so we can meet up. Before I forget, there are more young people getting involved in NJ than I thought. When I first moved to the Bayshore area of NJ there used to be four fudd gun stores owned by old guys that didn't want to give me the time of day. They all closed down because the owners ether retired or went out of business. Today there are four gun stores in my area again which is amazing. Some are even owned by young people. Here's the newest one that will be opening soon.  It's owned by a very nice pro 2A young couple. So there's hope things will change in NJ but that all depends on what happens on election day in November. If we don't get a Republican governor and more Republicans in the legislature to change the laws then NJ is toast and I'm outta here! So vote accordingly. |

try convincing the teachers etc to vote Red. lol. ill spread the gospel, but i dont have hope for NJ. i have co workers that claim they cant afford $200 for the permit to carry. so $100 a year is breaking them ? these are sales type people in HVAC, not mcdonalds. so .27 cents a day is keeping them from carrying ? umm i cant believe that. thats rediculous. might as well vote Democrap too while they are at it. it was a home made gun and a switch he shot the officer with ? i didnt know all that. so whats Murph going to do now ?? that his little gang bangers cant behave ...whats his plan ? make more stuff illegal thats already so called illegal lol lol |
