He is down here from N.J.
and I grocery shop for the wife.
So we had just casual talk and stuff.

Really nice guy.

Got behind him at check out and his meager supply of groceries for a few days
came in at $100 or so.

He was having a small hemorage at the price while I was snorting through my nose
trying to keep a straight face.

Kinda think I'm seeing less traffic already.

Reminds me.
I got a raccoon about big enough to eat.

Should have went to Wal Mart. I have noticed a near 5 dollar a pound difference on ribeyes
and fillets between between the Publix on Masterpiece rd and the one in Poinciana. Poinciana
has lower incomes compared to the area near the other one.

Our little lakefront communities shit for brains supporting snowbirds are still here. One couple from SD and the other from NJ. They usually leave right after Easter. Bye assholes.

My grocery bill is $80 - $100 less at Walmart.  Winn Dixie has some good sales on meat but is no bargain either.

I shop at Publix but mostly for BOGOs.  That and their Hot & Spicy non-breaded wings.

There are certain things that Wally World can beats on price. Sometimes you can't go wrong with Publix BOGO deals.

I agree and mainly shop there. I was trying to point out that a Publix in an affluent area can have higher prices
than a Publix in a lower income area. But for buying canned good Wal Mart gets the nod.

I like Publix, but also go to Harris Teeter which is closer to my house.

The main appeal of Publix is that it isn’t wal-mart.

And yeah, pricing definitely varies by region.

To me the premium is worth not having to visit WM. Also be fair, WM is 3 times the distance as the closest Publix so there is that too, lol...
