Mom's family once owned thousands of acres of wheatland outside of St. John. Still have family there. I spent a lot of time at the old family farm house as a kid. There were no neighbors and i spent my time riding my bike down the lone dirt road, walking the hills and gulches and shooting my .22. When i was there I had complete freedom. I miss it a lot and feel like that land is in my blood every time i visit.

The first time I drove through the Palouse, I almost thought I was dreaming. Beautiful down there. Palouse falls is awesome too. |

State banned it recently. You used to be able to walk down from the viewing parking lot to the pool at the bottom, and then up to the top. We'd rope up and climb those spire things at the top. Pretty sure you can't do that now. |
