I'm trying to purchase a piece of used equipment located in Commerce City, CO. I am in Idaho and don't have the time right now to go and look at it, far too much going on.

Was hoping to find a qualfiied arfcommer willing to go look at it for me- I'd pay you for your time.

A few months back I was looking at a Backhoe in Colorado. I called 4Rivers Equipment and had them go look at it for me. I had to pay for the drive time which was a good hour IIRC, but the guy did a pretty thorough job. I ended up not buying the machine due to what the inspection found. I honestly think it would have worked out, but after paying a fair amount for an "expert opinion", I couldn't do it. Lol, so I bought one more expensive, further away, and didn't have anyone look at it Just did a FaceTime walk around and asked a bunch of questions over the course of a couple days.

Gave 4Rivers a call, they'll be looking at it for me. Thanks Amigo, if you're ever in the area beers on me.

Glad I could help. Hope you have a good experience with them and the machine works out. The backhoe I bought has been pretty dang good knock on wood. Always a degree of risk with used. Anyhow good luck.

Definitely a degree of risk in a used one, but when new is going for $190k I've got a LOT of room to make repairs if need be.

Plus this is occasional use, not daily, so I couldn't come close to justifying new even if I could afford it.

4Rivers can't get to it for a week. If anyone has another suggestion I'm all ears.

Gents, thank you for your help. The owner sold it to someone else after we'd already worked out a deal pending inspection.

Maybe he didn't want it inspected, who knows. Anyway I'm sure there will be others. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
