Wife and I had to cancel our April vacation to Vegas. Going from Thurs - Sun.

I can't roll the dice and wait till fall. We either make June - August work...or I'll lose some money. What is this June 4 phased reopening mean? We have definite plans all of Friday and Friday night....that won't change. Will need something to do Thursday night and Saturday afternoon / night. I'm sure none of the shows will be open? But I keep hearing that people are already back on the strip? What about restaurants?

Would love to go late June.

Thanks!

Our shitty governor just announced rules last night, so hotels are scrambling to interpret them.

That said, everybody is ramping up and planning on full speed ahead June 4th.
I would visit Wynnlasvegas.com and see what they have to offer. They are pumping out lots of specials to get people in, so there should be deals aplenty. They’re committed to making sure everybody gets the full guest experience.

Shows won’t be open until probably august, but I’ll have real info soon.

Just seeing that Wynn is going for full open except shows due to the governors restriction on live performance.

$75 prix fixe menu at SW steakhouse and other hotel restaurants.

$75 daily drink credit

I know MGM properties are only opening select restaurants at the 3 resorts that will open.  No shows.

We had plans to stay at Aria.

What about the pools? If momma can get her pool club experience and I get my Lambo for the day...it’s worth it. Damn the shows.

Could use a good steak too.

My understanding from last night's almost press release is that pools will be open.  Water parks will be open.   Not so sure about hot tubs.  Supposedly more guidance will be coming from on high today. So far, not seeing it.

All about maintaining six foot distance.

Unless I missed it, Aria won’t be in the first phase of MGM openings. They’re starting with Bellagio and New York New York.

As an insider, I’d recommend Wynn. They will have their shit together far more than other properties. I work at every hotel in town.

Pool areas, yes. Pool clubs such as Wet Republic, No.  MGM, NY NY, Bellagio will open first.  Aria is down the list to reopen.  I personally think MGM has by far the largest pool area , #of pools,  if you plan to spend time outdoors.

Yep, I’ve stayed at MGM and Signature in the past.

Out of the ones opening we will probably do Bellagio.

Good choice if u like poker, it will have the only poker room open.

Town must be selling out quickly,  they've moved up the opening of additional properties.  Good news!

Based on the river over memorial weekend, and the fact that LA is still in lock down, I predict that every open casino will be at capacity rather quickly.

$1,000/wk for 8 weeks already and nothing to spend it on.

Fingers crossed.

here's what is supposedly opening tomorrow, Friday 5/29. still no movie listings so far...

– Bars that don’t serve food
– Gyms and other health and fitness facilities
– Spas, massage therapy and aesthetic service establishments
– Tattoo and piercing shops
– Recreational areas and pools
– Movie theaters, bowling alleys, arcades and similar establishments
– State parks for limited day-use and overnight stays
– Sporting events, concerts and theater performances without an audience

Yeah. Really puzzling as they have ham strung all the cirque type jobs in the city. I don’t see how a live seated theater is more risky than a Movie theater. Or a bowling alley.

Email from Henderson Gibson library says they are opening curb side service, call on 6/1 or after to schedule pick up of a book I was waiting for. No word on returns yet.

If you are picking up curbside you can drop off returns. There will be a blue trash can with wheels that you will put returns in. The items will then be sealed and then quarantined for 72 hrs then checked in and clean.
I work at Paseo Verde library.

Ok, enough about libraries...

Back to hookers and blow.

Looking to see what kind of feedback there is after this coming up weekend regarding the strip

Hotels are selling out quick, as I predicted. MGM has committed to opening more properties than they initially planned, but I don't have a current list.

Shows are closed indeterminately until our shit bag governor makes another announcement. Based on past behavior, we have at least another 10 days of radio silence from his office.

@Darcy

Thanks for your continued updates. I'm sure the few hotels on the strip are booking up quick. My wife and I have decided to wait till this time next week and make a decision based on current events. If we can find something for last week in June, we'll go. If not, going to wait it out till September. June at least is bearable temperature wise. Once we get into mid July and August, I'm sure it's brutal.

Were into the 100’s already, but pools are open. Early July is usually GTG but good assessment on August!

As an aside, I’ve been to my local bar twice now, and it’s been packed. Young people, old people, white people, black people- no masks and all commenting that the riots are bullshit.  Las Vegas is officially over the corona virus and the race war.

You think the Luxor will be back running in July? Got a trip booked for there mid july with friends. Not my preferred hotel, but a couple wanted to cheap out on hotel to have more spending money. Have their 1000sgft tower suite comped for the trip so I'm not gonna complain much.

Prayers for the officer on life support. I swear every time I get close to making plans...more bullshit kicks off. Corona, Murder hornets, riots. Wouldn't be surprised if alien invasion is next.

God I hope the cops are able to keep the thugs from destroying the strip

Look at the one just north of Luxor to be open next week assuming these commie rioters don't get it shutdown again.

Personally I think the resorts should due a press release threatening to call off the openings and lay everyone off again unless our inept government steps up and puts these idiots down.

Well we are booked at Bellagio for June 25-28. Can’t wait.

It was hard getting clarification from the booking lady. She made it sound like there won’t be chairs available by the pool. You have to rent a cabana?

Doesn’t look like any burlesque shows are open yet, that’s kind of a bummer. Harrahs was actually showing availability for some shows starting next week but then they cancelled after my wife booked and paid. I don’t understand why they can’t open with limited or re-arranged seating for the smaller venues. Y’alls politicians are really screwing the pooch IMO.

Hopefully my Ferrari rental can handle the heat...that’s all I’m really worried about.

Mrs Pointblanke and I visited last week. We stayed at NYNY. The hotel was about half full. The pool was open and we didn’t notice any change there. About half of the slots are turned off. Table games all have plexiglass barriers between players and dealers.

Most retail stores on the strip seemed closed, but that may have changed. It was nice not waiting in line for anything.

My local friends were there last week and she said there were no issues at the pool, she also believes that there are 5 pools at the Bellagio.

So you had fun and a good time? Any more or less than trips before? I have heard very little of visitors experiences since things started to kick back up. SHOT will probably be my first visit to the strip.

That's a shame. They just aren't busy enough? I've read some articles saying that casinos were filling up again.

Of course now COVID is on the rise again so I'm sure businesses are concerned. I just don't care anymore....will continue to be safe and follow guidelines but can't live like this much longer.

I'm interested in hearing more as well. I've heard some places have been packed, some not so much. Also heard Uber/Lyft service has been pretty bad as of late, with few drivers, long wait times, and lots of cancellations.

How are the restaurants? Party size limits? Big wait times?
