I'm interested in visiting Hungary (my grandparents were from Hungary and I have family in Budapest). What would be legal to carry? I normally carry a swiss army knife, a small Spyderco with less than a 3" blade and a flashlight with a slightly crenulated bezel in addition to a Ruger LCP. I assume the LCP is out but would I be able to carry the other stuff?

Knife laws is that 80mm is the max length.
So about 3.25 inches. Gun laws are a steep curve. But I do carry a PA63 and carry license is easy to get, just go to the police station with the registered piece and pay 2000 forints and your license is good for 5 years. I'm Hungarian American and have citizenship and work here part of the year and head back to Oregon for more work. |
