I can recommend a couple places in the Raleigh area but it might be a bit far for her to drive.

i owned three jk's over the years..

i still have a 2013 two door  with 198,000 on it.. i live in hampstead nc ..  IM me ill look at it for free she pays for parts ill do the work..

yes they are pretty easy too do.. and yes i bet they are fine.. especially if new tires were put on it.. sounds someone is trying to make some money..

but i can check it out.. just have to jack up the front and wiggle the tire to see if there is play.. i haven't replaced mine yet with 198k on it .. so that should tell you something ..
