Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Is this rifle legal to ship to NJ?

I sold this rifle on GB and I am unsure if it is ok to ship to NJ.  The muzzle device isn't pinned, but the recipient said he'd  have his FFL do it before receiving the rifle.  I would not include a magazine and the buttstock is fixed.

Yes - perfectly legal to ship to an FFL.  It's up to the FFL to make it legal to transfer to a non-licensee (a regular peon like you or me).  It's no different than the FFL ordering a firearm from his distributor, and having to modify it to make it legal (pin stock, pin muzzle brake, etc.)

IMO, if your rifle is legal where you live and transferred proper to an FFL, the FFL has the responsibility to transfer a State Legal firearm only. The Purchaser has the responsibility to pay to make it legal before release.

I am no expert nor do I practice law, so I would wait for others to chime in.
