I'm hoping arfcom can help. We are looking for a referral for an estate attorney. Our family needs some assistance in transferring a stake in an oil well from my deceased mother-in-law to my father-in-law and his daughters.

Long story short is my MIL passed in February and she owned a bunch of things in her name only which we've had to transfer over to my FIL. We've gotten everything squared away except this oil well which is located in Wyoming. They keep sending the dividend checks to her. Our Illinois based attorney has sent letters and the death cert to Crowheart Engery (the oil well owner) and made numerous phone calls to no avail. Crowheart is claiming that a title search needs to be done as I guess their record keeping is a little fuzzy.
