I'm sure I'm not the not the only one who knows somebody in Illinois, and they need our help, especially because a lot of companies have written them off, even though those parts/ammo are not banned.  Reship them parts and ammo.

Nope. I will continue doing what I've been doing; imagining the entire state as an extension of Lake Michigan that requires me to drive through Iowa anytime I go south.

Unfortunately for me to avoid IL doesn't work to go to IN or OH.

But I have not heard or seen any calls for help from IL individuals.

Screw um.  The charge tolls to drive on their roads.   They come into our state and wreck our parks and vacation spots.   They buy a vacation home here and then claim residence so they can vote in our election.  They take our lottery tax credit because off their vacation home.
They live in that shit hole let them fix it.  You want to go to jail in il just to help a FIP?  I don't think so.

I disagree. I deal with tourists on a daily basis, up north. The only difference between someone politically "on the right" from the Milwaukee area (burbs) and Chicago area (burbs) is their license plates and what colors they wear on game days. The worst? Assholes from Madison area. Arrogant liberal pricks for the most part.

Milwaukee and Madison are solidly, consistantly "blue" areas on election days. If it weren't for them, this state would be solid "red". Does that mean someone in a solid red area like mine up north should treat everyone from Milwaukee County and Dane County as the enemy? Or just those liberal assholes that truly are the enemy?

80 of the 102 county sheriffs in ILL told Priztker to fuck off with this new law. Those 80 true Americans were elected by the constituents in their counties. That should give some perspective on the situation down there. The mostly "red" areas away from "Chiraq" are no different from us. The only way to "fix it" would be for them to kick Chiraq out of Illinois altogether. Let Crook County become it's own state.

What this country needs is a big redrawing of state boundaries along political lines. And State Senate seats should not be apportioned by districts determined by population, like Assemblies are. One Senator per county, regardless of population size. Like the US Senate has 2 per state, whereas people in Rhode Island and CA have the exact same amount of representation. That would put a check on big "blue" urban populations - like Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison - dictating their bullshit liberal laws to entire states.

I'd rather help those who are like me, but stuck in a place were they're the minority, and stick it to the same liberal assholes they're fighting that we're fighting in the process.

What we need to do is:
1. Make sure our elections are secure.    There were 120,000 ballots that had wrong incomplete or out of state addresses on the ballot.
2.Make sure local nonbinding ballot referendums are not on general state wide elections.
3. make sure the state election commission deletes all suspected bad ballots.  The commission is sitting on 250K ballots that have issues and refuses to  to do anything about them.

As far as re-sending ammo parts and what not to IL go ahead and got to jail in IL  That would be kind of like fuck around and find out

It's mainly MN idiots moving into our area, west WI, with a mix of IL. After they burnt the twin cities down it was a Oklahoma land rush around here.

Guess who had the Biden and Evers signs in their yards. They are just to stupid to understand what they are doing.

I agree they made their bed, stay there. Don't come up or over here and screw up my world.

The liberal assholes with the Biden & Evers signs can get fucked. I don't want them here either. The conservative right is welcome as far as I'm concerned. It would be very hypocritical of me not to be that way, as 32 years ago I did what they're doing now... getting the fuck out. I look at it this way... for every right-wing gun nut that moves here, it's one more on our side, and leaves room for one less liberal scumbag. Labeling people solely by what state they live in is childish... and stupid.

eta: It may be Ok the label all FIBS in things not so important... like sports rivalries. Bears fans suck for being Bears fans. That's a given here in the  land of "Green & Gold". But in the real world of stuff that actually matters, life and death shit that will effect your daily life, that bullshit means nothing.

Go back and read the O P again...

"....because a lot of companies have written them off, even though those parts/ammo are not banned."

If they're not banned, why would you go to jail? He's talking about legal items.

To see an example of this practice, go to Amazon and try to buy an airsoft gun and have it shipped to WI. Nope. Why? Airsoft guns aren't banned in WI, AFAIK. You can buy them at Fleet Farm, Walmart, Dunhams... and Ebay. I tried buying a Umarex G19 air soft on Amazon... this pops up in red by my cart when I sign in -> "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."   So... I bought one from Ebay.

I agree with the opinion stated above. I relocated to WI from the People's Republic of Illinois thirty years ago. We need conservative, pro 2A transplants from where ever because there is strength in numbers. As long as we have strong Republican majorities in both the state senate and state assembly it really doesn't matter if a Democrat lives in the governor's mansion, the Democrat agenda is DOA. But, that being said, if we lose control of either the state senate or the state assembly, I fear we are only one or two election cycles away from being right where Illinois is presently at.

Agree with 1,2, and 3.

As to last line, glock recoil springs are not IL, neither is ammo besides 50bmg, but many places won't ship under a blanket nope.

I look at a person's character, morals, politics, etc.... not their address. Like you say, it may be us someday stuck with this leftist bullshit. Will we be the next domino to fall victim to the gun banners? The time to stop it is now, wherever the fuck it rears it's ugly head, not wait until it comes here. Pro-gun people need to stick together, no matter their zipcode, and if necessary, help those in other states fight a battle that may not be ours today... but ultimately it's part of the same war that most certainly is ours to fight. The quickest way to lose that war is to bury our heads in the sand and say "fuck them, that's their problem".

Sometimes the "just move" solution is a little more involved.  People have kids in schools, jobs, a home, family.  It becomes little bit more than just about guns.  For those who can just pick up and go, great, but a lot of people have a lot more other issues to deal with, so it can get a little more complicated.  If the tables were turned, how many of us could just pack up and move to.... Montana, Wyoming?  It's a shitty deal all around and won't get any better if the commies get their way.  They can call themselves woke, progressive, socialist democrats, liberals,  but to me, they're just plain 'ol communists.

There are 49 other states in this great country.   It is just this simple, move.
You are seeing a huge migration from controlled states on the east and west coasts.
Californians moving to Texas and New yorkers moving to Florida.
Whole families are packing up and leaving.

At some point, you're going to run out of places to run away to.  There comes a time when you have to dig in and take a stand.  You can only retreat so far.

Where will you move in 2024 when invalid ballots say the dems control WI?

Moving has a lot more to do with other things, not just gun laws.  Moving is a lot easier than one would think.  My wife and I were planning on a trip to KY to look a places there, TN and WV.  We decided to stay in WI and will most likely be moving to the Reedsburg/Mauston area this summer.  We currently live in a subdivision and are looking at a place with land.  Jobs are easy to find.

We have 2 kids in HS.  Grab your balls and do it.  It isn't that hard, people do it all the time.

Exactly what I did. 41 years old, wife 40. Two daughters, ages 9 & 12. We got sick of the politics and anti-gun attitudes in Fibistan (and this was 1991). I was always a country person at heart (wife says I'm a "redneck"...I won't argue it) due to my Mauston area roots. I was stuck in a suburb full of golf & tennis playing assholes. Nobody hunted, nobody fished, nobody snowmobiled... and guns were "scary". So we just sold our house, packed up, & left. Fuck it. No jobs waiting for us, but I had a skillset in high demand, and the only person with that skillset in the area we moved to, had just died. I saw a void that needed filling, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Our ace in the hole, that others may lack, was the equity we had built up in 15 years of home ownership, which got us a nicer house up north, with no mortgage.... and money leftover. And I had all the equipment, inventory, and experience/knowledge needed to start a business here. My wife was hired on the spot at the first place she applied. It turned out to be much easier than I thought it would be. Only regret, is not doing sooner. Scary? Hell yeah. But worth it. I spent the last 32 years living the life I was meant to live. I'm a 5 minute drive from a million acres of public hunting land, 1,400 lakes are within an hour's drive, and the snowmobile trail is 100 yards from the end of my driveway. I'm my own boss, and I love my work. What more could you want?

I'm a member of a pheasant/duck club in Illinois and speaking with members about the gun ban.
2/3 of them didn't know about it, and when discussed they said "well, I don't own or need an AR".

When I explained that your 12 round semi auto for snow goose hunting just made you a felon,  or ammunition sales will have to go through a FFL.

Now that they understand what is going to happen they are pissed, but it's too late.

I have a problem with telling them what's at stake and they don't do anything about it, or sticking their head in the sand saying "that will never happen here ".

And Tammy Baldwin too? Why did you vote for her? The people in Illinois who have FOIDs are not happy about having one, or all the other bullshit gun laws put upon the whole state by the shithead Chgo libs. Downstaters feel about Chicagoans about like I feel about Madison/Milwaukeans... because that's where the libs control things so everyone there must also be an asshole too. Is that true? Hell no, it's not, and we all know it.

32 years ago, I had me a FOID card too. Within the first week of moving up north, I took my FOID out behind my new northwoods home, stuck it on an oak stump, and "ventilated" that P.O.S. with a Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt. It makes BIG holes...

I've lived half my life in Fibistan and the last half of my life in WI. I'm 72 & 10 months old now. I'll say this again, as I've said it many times before. The only differences I've seen between gun owners/conservative people in Milwaukee and gun owners/conservative people in Chicago is the color of their license plates, and the color of the jersey they where on NFL sundays... they both even have the same accent when they talk.
