My almost 88 year old father passed on to the next adventure today. He went kicking and screaming like the stubborn Scotsman he was. But heart failure is a thing. And he was a cardiologist, so he knew that.

My dad passed from congestive heart failure almost 2 years ago now at the age of 93. So I know a little bit about where you are. It still sucks, but your dad like mine had a long, and I believe well lived life.

Evening Gentleman...
First off, thank you for all the thoughts offered both here and privately. It's helping me get through this. It was a bit of a shock at the end to see him in such distress and not being able to do a damn thing. Thankfully, my BIL is a respected anathesioligist in the area and served as our doctor to people translator. So we were able to keep the suffering to a minimum. Now we're dealing with the estate which turns out to be an excellent distraction. To that end, I'm acquiring some of my dad's guns. I'm passing some of them along to nephews. But the interesting part was digging thru my dad's small ammo fort. I thought I'd enjoyed low prices... yeah, no. I hope everyone is doing well. Cheers!
