Hi everyone, I have a few trips planned tis winter up to Vermont, Mt Snow specifically. I am not much of a downhill skier so i won't be skiing the whole time.

Can you tell me if their are any public rifle ranges up around the Mt Snow/ West Dover area?

My bunch shoots at Hale Mountain in Shaftsbury. That would be about 34 miles from West Dover. AFAIK, it's membership-only, not truly 'public'. Although there is a provision for guest access if you know somebody who's a member. (Don't look at me, I've been working 60+ hour weeks lately.) Contact the Club directly, and see what you find out.

Beyond that, have a look at the State's shooting range map. Maybe there's something else out there that will fit your needs. Deerfield Valley Sportsman Club is probably closer than Hale Mountain, but I've never been there and don't know anything about it.
