OK,

I have gotten a few IM's asking me for the common used repeater freq's...

Well that just depends on where you are located.

Im going to just go ahead and post how I have my radios loaded up. I will put down as much info as I can. Some I dont have the locations to. I dont know all of the coverage. I do know that all of them work ( for the most part) from MY location.

Hope this helps. Remmember, this is how I have my radios set up, I will try and give complete info for the older radios out there. (You Scanner geeks, just put in the RX Freq)

Some linked systems

W2ZT/K5IN

This is a linked ( For the most part ) system that works from south of Olympia to Skagit County. It is little known, and where I like to hang out. It is not used much by anyone else other then the owners of the repeaters. Find one of the following repeaters, and see what one works best for you.

W2ZT 223.940- Minus offset- Tone of 123.0 (Haystack Mt in the Sultan area)

K5IN  441.950- Plus offset- Tone 103.5

W2ZT 442.500- Plus offset- Tone 123.0 ( Not always linked up)

Puget Sound Energy

PSE Amatuer Radio Group

MT BALDI (Enumclaw area & )  441.7 Mhz + 103.5   [linked]

RATTLESNAKE MTN (King county & )   441.775 Mhz +  103.5  [linked]

GREEN MTN (Bremerton area & )   441.750 Mhz + 103.5    [linked]

WHITE RIVER  (Sumner area) 443.625 Mhz+ 103.5

MT BLYN / MAYNARD [PORT TOWNSEND]  442.425 Mhz+ 103.5

OLYMPIA 145.15 Mhz - 103.5

ELECTRON 444.250 Mhz+ 103.5

From my location ( Monroe) I use Rattlesnake, and have had no problems talking with CavVet in Seatac. There are plans to link them all up, but for now the 3 pretty much cover everyplace I have needed all the way down into LCR when they were flooding.

EVERGREEN INTERTIE/ W7HTJ

Evergreen Intertie

Nothing more to say other then you have to snoop around on the web page, and request the free information handout. Once you get the handout, you will have access to link the system from Montana, all the way down to Southern California if you want. I use the local Freq, and have had a lot of fun with it.

W7HTJ 444.650- Minus offset - Tone 131.8

ArtSci Publications' website has a database--accuracy/currency unknown, or at least untested by me--that purports to show all repeaters in Washington State:
www.artscipub.com/repeaters/states/Washington.asp

Link to any US State:  www.artscipub.com/repeaters/.  Click on the desired state on the map.  Links for Canada and Mexico are listed at the bottom of the page.

Among other things, ArtSci sells repeater guides.  So the "free" database could be considered advertising, I suppose.

Now, these listings can take a lot of editing to enter them into the programming software of the radio, ass-you-me'ing that you use software, and are not broken down by geographical location in the state, so these links should not in any way be taken as criticism of R32s work here.

No prob.

Throw in any info you guys/gals want to into this thread.

My main reason it to try and get everyone onto a same page for a couple of common freq's that the majority of us can reach eachother on. I get several IM's asking what freq everyone hangs out on. I figure if I post what I can hit, then others can at least try them out with their rigs. Then I hope they can post what they are able to hit, and we can slim it down to a couple of good freq's that we all can try and work as a whole.

I have not tried any of the beach net stuff, if anyone wants to try it out, and see what they can get for range.

Also any of you guys on the dry side want to put up a list knock yourself out.

You guys need to be Teamsters. Our last strike we got a strike check before we got our last paycheck from work.

And the strike check was bigger.

When the man found out how much we made on the picket line, he got a little more serious about negotiations.

Now add 440.400 Plus offset with a tone of 123.0

Found it today just messing around, should be up in Arlington somewhere, also, the Mt Pilchuck repeater is no longer on Mt Pilchuck, it is in Granite Falls area, so check to see how you hit it now.

Have you set yours to a fixed IP address?

Are you working off a wireless router?

are you working or a router at all?

What is it not doing?

Any error messages?

Here is what the test is telling me:

"Windows Vista Service Pack 1
Local IP address: 192.168.1.113

Firewall Test Results: FAIL

The test successfully connected to the EchoLink server on TCP port 5200.  This means that your system's TCP configuration is correct for use with EchoLink.

The tester did not receive a response for some of the UDP tests.  If you have a router or firewall installed, be sure its Port Forwarding feature is correctly set. (See Help for details.) If you have Internet security software installed, be sure it is configured to allow EchoLink to access the Internet.

There appears to be a router between this computer and the Internet.  A router normally requires special configuration for use with EchoLink.

This version of Windows includes Windows Firewall.  If Windows Firewall is enabled (which is the default), an exception must be added to un-block EchoLink and allow it to access the Internet.  (If you chose the Unblock option when you first started EchoLink, this exception has probably already been added.)

For more information, click the Help button above, or see the Firewall Solutions page on the EchoLink Web site."

Have done all the port forwarding, no windows firewall...........
