We are one of the oldest continuously operating ranges in the United States.  For over 100 years, we have served the community, match competitors, law enforcement and the military from our range facilities.  

Organized in 1916 and incorporated in 1920, our original range was near Starr Pass and it stood there for decades.  In 1967, Pima Pistol Club ventured out to stand alone  near the border of what is now Oro Valley & Catalina - just northwest of the city.

PPC members include everyone from casual enthusiasts, to first responders, to Olympians and National & World Champions.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Range Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the operation of the Range. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with shooting range operations and management, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Range Safety Officers as the Chief RSO; Enforces Range Operating Procedures and processes safety incident reports
Assess and resolve Range maintenance and compliance needs; Engage with vendors to solicit bids for repairs and maintenance, and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Attend monthly club meetings to give a Range Manager report.
Manage user groups including sport shooting disciplines, LE training contracts, and instructors.
Process new memberships and membership renewals using Bizzflo, our membership management software. Maintain our database of members and clients and make updates as needed.
Manage the club’s calendars, including staff shift rotations, training events, and match schedule.
Answer phone calls to the club office, respond to emails directed to the club email account, and handle inquiries promptly and professionally.
Reconcile club income and manage data in spreadsheets and reports.
Maintain and procure club supplies and equipment.
Organize and maintain physical and electronic files. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of important information.
Support the club’s Range Safety Officers in their daily operations and assist in problem solving.
Provide administrative support to the club Board of Directors, particularly the club President. This includes drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and conducting research.

Mandatory Requirements:

Familiarity with firearms and competitive shooting sports; supports the 2nd Amendment.
Range Safety Officer or Chief Range Safety Officer certification.
Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Suites (Word / Google Docs, Excel / Google Sheets, PowerPoint / Google Slides, Google Calendar, Gmail).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Clean criminal background. Must not have any criminal history that disqualifies the candidate from firearms ownership or may impact their job performance.

Optional but Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Bizzflo or similar club management software.
Previous experience working at a shooting range in similar capacities.
Experience with Facebook and Instagram.

Other Information:

$20/hr pay
Expected schedule: 30-35/week during normal range business hours
This is an on-site role.
