I recently moved here for work, but am pretty familiar with the area as my sister has lived in the Cincy and surrounding areas for 10 years.

Anyway, not much as far as long range shooting but there are a few indoor ranges nearby.

Hey, welcome. I'm in Richmond. If you are willing to drive to Hazard there's a range there out to 1200 I think. They regularly compete out to 1000 but I think there are targets further out. I've visited but haven't made it back to actually shoot there yet.   https://www.facebook.com/groups/253653665062279

Right on, I’ll check it out.

I need to explore some hunting options as well, and put in for the Elk Lottery. My schedule is going to be pretty full this year, and I only have 1 trip planned so far, Wyoming Antelope during rifle season.

I want to also look into the Elk Creek Resort, that have sporting clays and wing shooting there…so one could assume they also have a longer range too.

Welcome! You are right, not a lot of outdoor ranges around here, especially if you're into long range stuff. Seems like most people around here have a family farm they shoot on?

There is one exception worth noting... Not long range (~ 200yds max) but outdoors, fairly inexpensive and its almost like having your own range as during your scheduled time (which is a 3 hour session) the range is all yours (well you and whoever else you bring with you) for the entire time. Randy is a great guy and oh, he's got some steel targets too which if you don't know, steel targets are very addictive.

Randy's Range

You can thank me later

There is not a rifle range at Elk Creek that I am aware of.  Shotgun only I think.

Reeeeee

Oh well, I’ll keep checking around. I need to get some scope time behind my .308 before this fall. It’s zeroed to 100 yards but that’s it.

Also, the local indoor range said no to 62g stuff, only 55g. I’m going to shoot a few mags this weekend as a refresher because next weekend I’m heading back to Georgia for Cola Warrior.

Northern Kentucky Straight Shooters has a 25 to 200 yard range with a berm at about 325 yards with a few gongs setup. When the range is open it's $1.00 for members and $5.00 for non members. It's in Crittenden not far off I75.
I believe membership is still $35.00.

Miami Rifle and Pistol Club

I'm not a member there but have shot a few USPSA matches. It seems like a nice club and does have a rifle range.

Elk creek doesn't have a rifle range but their sporting clays is phenomenal. I've been shooting there since I was a kid, great people work there.

This place has a 600 yard range.  I've never shot there, but there is a member on this site who is a member there.

Its is nice range (shot there a number of times) but its a drive depending on where in NKY you are in? From Burlington (Boone Co.) it took about an hour 1 way. Not a deal breaker, just an FYI.

There is a very long wait list to become a member. If you are not a member, the only way to shoot there is if you are participating in a comp or if you have a friend that is a member and takes you with them.

Unless they've changed it somehow, the 600 yard range is a PITA as it goes across the main road going in so there is potentially a lot of stopping and going cold to accommodate for the traffic in and out.

I was just there today actually, the winery for some drinks and food. The shooting side closed at 5, and apparently the pheasant hunts start in November.
