IANAL, comments in parenthesis are my non-legal opinions. View the link bill numbers for more details.

SB9: no liability for range owners/no guarantee of safety (support this, if range owners can be held liable for other idiots it's only a matter of time before they all get shut down by loonies)
SB28: Universal background checks (do not support)
SB29: Storage of firearms; level 6 felony if you store a firearm where you reasonably believe a minor could gain access to it (I'm torn on this one, I want to encourage safe storage of firearms but this is authored by the same loony that authored SB28, and I feel it is open to abuse)
SB69: Exempts retired LEOs from the ban of carrying of firearms on school property (Support, it's a baby-step in the direction we desire)
SB82: Polling in schools (support, while not directly firearms related, this is the loophole many municipalities are using to ban firearms at polling centers, after 2023 school could no longer be used as polling places under this bill)
SB127: Required Handgun training (Do not support)
SB203: The all encompassing bad firearms bill we've all heard about already
SB245: Language is vague but is provide penalties to those that prohibit the carry of firearms in public places (I'm going to say this one sounds like a good one)
SB291: Prohibits the gaming commission from disallowing LEOs from carrying in a casino (Support)

HB1029: Secure storage of firearms for dealers (I'm not informed to know if this is good or not)
HB1152: False informers on red-flag laws are held accountable and the subject of a red-flag reporting must be served notice that there will be a court proceeding prior to a verdict (I think this is as good as we're going to get with the recent push for red-flag laws, I think it solves the lack of due-process found in most of them)
HB1259: Permits a hospital to prohibit carrying and assigns state penalties for violating that (DO NOT support)

Other bills of note I found:
HB1017: Permits a one-time 529 withdrawal for non-educational purposes penalty-free (I support this, I'm saving for my kid's college, but what if they choose not to go to college? I shouldn't be penalized for being proactive and then not needing that fund for education.)
HB1143: Prohibits device implantation as a condition of employment (WTF? Is that a thing; has anybody experienced an employer that says, "You have to have this monitoring device implanted in your body before we will hire you."?)
HB1158: Establishes a minimum salary for teachers (I support this because some school districts pay their teachers ridiculous salaries)
SB219: Permits civil forfeiture of vehicle for school bus stop-arm violations (I'm torn on this, I hate civil forfeitures, but some people are absolutely reckless with our school children)
SB3: Prohibits out-of-network providers administering health services at in-network facilities from billing more than insurance coverage will allow (I support this, I've been nailed several times now by this "loophole". You go to an in-network facility, but they use out-of-network providers such as the anesthesiologist and then you get hit with a several thousand dollar bill because your insurance says that provider was out-of-network and they will only pay $XXX for an out-of-network provider. It's infuriating, and this would prevent that practice.)

SigOwner - Thank you very much for putting this list together!  We all need to contact our legislators and respectfully express our opinions.  We are currently blessed with a very pro-gun legislature, but that could change dramatically in one or 2 election cycles.  We can't let our guard down.

Regarding IN Senate Bill 203:

Directly from Sen. Mike Young, chairman of the Corrections & Criminal Code Committee in the Senate:

Mike Young
January 13 at 11:32 PM
Senator Taylor's Senate bill 203 dealing with guns has been assigned to the Senate Corrections and Criminal Law committee that I chair. The bill is not going to receive a hearing. It was dead before it got to my committee.

You're correct, I know that, but I don't want to discourage political activism by saying, "Don't worry, this one's already dead." I would still contact your rep and let them know your thoughts...
