Looking at getting a property in the Evanston area.  What is available area wise for shooting?  I am coming from the Ogden area and there is nothing close by other than organized ranges which can be good but can also suck depending on who is there running things and who is shooting.  Already know about the cold, snow, job situation etc.  I grew up in the upper Midwest with -20° and 20 kt winds and lots of snow.  Will be retired so no jobs will be needed or taken away from anyone who really needs it.  Thanks!

So is all the BLM land able to shot on?  If so is there some that is better suited than others?

Unless they have it shut down for fire danger you should be able to shoot on any Fed land.

Edit to add Evanston winters are no joke, you won’t believe the wind until you live it every hour,  of every single day.
