I've read where the Dothan Civic Center has a No Firearms policy complete with signs.  Going there for a Karate tournament.  Is that still effective down there?

Can't speak for Dothan, but they've gotten fairly aggressive at events up in BHM.

I've heard you're just asked to leave it outside if you're caught, but there are some other folks here that could say with more certainty.

They do have signs up, but absolutely no security.  Yes it was a Karate tournament but lots of people carrying large bags in and out.  If they are going to put up their stupid sign it would be nice to have at least 1 uniformed officer there.    My thoughts were "oh well".
