Republicans in the state Senate introduced legislation that would allow law-abiding adults to conceal carry firearms without a license.

Senate Bills 489-492 would repeal the current requirement to obtain a concealed pistol license for individuals who are not otherwise prohibited from possessing a pistol and allow concealed carry without a license where either open-carry or concealed-pistol license holders are currently allowed to do so.

SBs 489-492 were referred to the Senate Government Operations Committee for consideration.

They couldn't get their recent voting laws out of a republican led committee.

There  a few republicans that are OK, the majority of them are mugwumps.  They get all ballsy when they have a snowball's chance in hell of getting anything signed into law and they act like the demonrats when they can actually pass laws and get them signed.

Remember the 8 years under Snyder?  No enhanced CPL and Snyder wouldn't get rid of handgun registration because the MESTAPO chiefs told him they liked it.  Plus they raised taxes numerous times.

This is going to down in flames just like every other time it has come up.

Michigan will never get constitutional carry. Michigan will never get rid of registration.

People used to say that "we'll never get suppressors in Michigan". People used to say that "We'll never get Concealed Carry in Michigan". People use to say "We'll never get Class 3 items in MI". The people that got that done in Michigan weren't the ones sitting on their couch sounding like a sad donkey in a cartoon-they interfaced with their state legislators and rubbed elbows at fundraisers. That's how you get the change you want.

We have a system of government where we send people to represent us in matters of Government. If you never take the time to tell them what you expect of them, they will not address it-especially if the media lies to them about what their constituents want.
