Urges the United States Congress to declare the City of Chicago the 51st state of the United States of America and separate it from the rest of Illinois.

That would be fantastic, but they should take most of Cook and Lake counties with them.

I advocated this for years but the reason they are pushing this is because it would add two Liberal US Senators shaking up the balance of power.   Same reason there is discussion to divide California into three individual states.   Adding four Liberal Senators from BLUE California would help push the liberal agenda.

You can bet if they divide California it will be divided so as to minimize the conservative rural areas of California and would probably happen in the rest of Illinois if Cook/Lake became 51st state.

Not necessarily, the only reason Illinois has liberal Senators is because of Cook County without Cook County Illinois could end up with conservative Republican Senators. California the same thing, those rural counties in California could vote for conservative Senators.  Look who`s promoting  this Republicans from downstate.
