How does one upgrade their non resident permit to a resident/normal permit?

Go here and submit an address change.

There is no difference between the two.

The only reason to get a new one would be for reciprocity. Some states won't recognize a "non resident" (no FL address) license, but your DL/ID should help with that.

According to the website that Kissfan referenced it states that they no longer print the licensee's residence address on FL CWL.

Of, course I could be wrong. That happens frequently.

Worst case scenario when its time to renew I'll get the updated version.
