Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Campground recommendations?

We usually take our camper and camp at Stony Fork campground in the Jefferson Nat'l Forest near Wytheville. It's a great campground due to the spacing and wooded privacy of the campsites, and we're looking for similar places to camp.

State park campgrounds tend to have the campsites too close together, and I really dislike RV campgrounds.

Any suggestions?

I don’t know where you’re located but I go to The Cove campground in Gore, VA. You can camp and shoot at one of 3 ranges.

I'm in Roanoke. Gore is a bit of a hike, but thanks for the suggestion.
