I’ve read what makes a CT “other”. But I can’t find this answer.

My question is regarding the barrel length. And I know it can be up to interpretation.

If the muzzle device is pin and welded does the barrel itself still have to be at least 12”? Or since it’s pinned and welded does the barrel with the pin and welded muzzle device have to be at least 12”?

I know it holds true to get over 16” if it’s pin and welded.

What do you guys think?

Pin/weld or silver soldering means that whatever you attach becomes part of the barrel length.

If you have an ~3" muzzle device and you pin it to a 10.3" barrel, for instance, you now have an ~12.6" barrel.

That’s what I thought. Thank you.

Anyone recommend someone good in CT that does that??
