Sheriff's department closed bridge down and told everyone to turn around. I asked why. Was told there's a bomb on the bridge.
I thought the deputy was joking so I said "a bomb...eh, I'll risk it" She got serious serious and told me to turn around. Routing through Camden now. |

The westbound bridge over the Wateree River is closed and traffic is single lane over the eastbound span. Must be a bomb threat maybe?

Some fisherman probably found some UXO under the bridge. Has to be minor or they woulda closed the whole area.

No email was put out about a legitimate explosive device amongst the gossip tea group. Chalk it up to a "suspicious package/device" that someone overreacted to, like always.
