I grew up not far from Bloomfield.

These bear sightings will keep increasing, one was trapped in St. Louis County last week. MODC says the population is increasing by 10% each year! I camped near the Ozark trail on Blair Creek several years ago and we found fresh black bear tracks near our camp in the morning.

I saw a Zuckbook screen grab that showed a deer cam pic of one supposedly a little south of JC.

ETA: heard about it yesterday, not sure when the pic was taken though.
