I’ve seen two in Tampa in the last two days.

Not my pic, couldn’t get close enough but found this on Reddit. Apparently an invasive species that was introduced recently.

There are a bunch of them on the UM campus and I had started seeing them in Homestead. Bunch of Argentinian Tegus in Homestead also.

I read an article a while back about a bunch of guys who got caught intentionally releasing stuff into the wild in Florida. I can't remember where I read it. IIRC they had released king cobras, green mambas and Gaboon vipers. WTF is wrong with people?

Can't say I've seen anything like that in my AO(Tampa Bay area).

Cool coloration, but they still have to die.

Yes. From the article:
“During this investigation, officers saw and heard disturbing evidence of widespread illegal activity, not the least of which were individuals who indicated that they were releasing or planning to release prohibited reptiles into nearby native habitat to establish a readily accessible wild breeding population,” said Investigations Section Capt. Van Barrow.

I own commercial property in Highlands County. Our neighbor has a large produce stand. Delivery trucks from South Florida brought them up here. They called Fish and Game to figure out what these lizards are.
We got overrun with them. all of our neighbors are killing them. I have heard a suppressed 22 pistol works very well
But industrial size rodent glue traps work better. Every glue trap captures 3-6. The traps work all night long. When an alpha big bastard male gets trapped, he must send out an alarm because more show up and get stuck.
The traps are the way.
At one point we had 4 major colonies in and around our buildings. Now because of the traps we are dinosaur free, for now.

They have been growing rapidly in my area (Homestead), at first I would leave them alone as they were keeping the insects down but they’ve become a nuisance leaving droppings all over the patio. I’ve started shooting them and they are tough little bastards, I’ve noticed there is usually one alpha male in the area and once you take him out he is replaced within days.

they are called terrorists (probably of the Satanic variety looking to cause chaos to bring their demon god to power)
very usable as shock troops for the globalists...like a hydra of domestic terrorism...
