I usually peruse places like Armslist and it seems like the number of AR pistols and the number of pistol braces for sale skyrocketed.  It started when the ATF got outed for trying to reclassify pistol braces under the radar and kicked into hyperdrive when the Honey Badger incident happened.

Seems like a lot of people think the brace thing is going to go south on us like the bump stock did and are trying to cash out beforehand.  Can't really blame anyone there but it's gotta be hard to sell them at the moment.

If Biden wins it's pretty much guaranteed that all those braced pistols are going to be reclassified as SBR's regardless of manufacturer.  That's an easy ban for him to start with because all it takes is the same crap Trump pulled with the bump stocks.  That is going to be a giant and extremely expensive crapshow for those who own them.

Hopefully Trump wins but as history has proven, even a Trump win doesn't guarantee our 2A rights will be respected.  It's better than the guaranteed trampling of 2A rights under Biden at least.

All you'd have to do is take the brace off and leave the tube.
Absolute worse case, buy a barrel (or permanently attach a 10 inch flash hider)  and a stock and you've got another rifle.
Oh, no.

That's true but let's face it, the only reason most of the pistols exist in this form is to avoid the ridiculous ATF SBR rules.  Take away the ability to shoulder the braced gun and they become pointless to most people.  Of course the dem controlled government won't care about those with disabilities that really need a brace because they hate guns.

I don't know all the regulations on changing a pistol to a rifle but I suspect there's a lot of them that can't make that change.

As ridiculous (huh imagine that)  as it sounds the rules are if it was built as a pistol it can go back and forth, if it was ever a rifle it can't ever be a pistol.
Realistically all this means if you bought a new rifle and had to 4473 it, it's on paper as having been a rifle. No pistol for you.
If you bought a stripped lower all it's ever been is "other". (if the ffl didn't screw you and call it a rifle) you can do what you want with that.
Can you take a rifle built on a stripped lower and make it a pistol? Not legally, but let your conscience be your guide.
