I’m looking at some land the state is selling. On the map it has easements for roads but none of them have been developed. I’m wondering who/how/when/if these end up getting built as there is currently not roads to the property.   I’d almost prefer there weren’t roads to it, but something I could get a quad or snowmachine down would be nice.

It’s the same for all land they sell. Almost comical with some of the subdivision plans they have in the interior.  I think it’s just part of their process to build the easements and keep some poor schmuck employed.

I sure wish they’d make some bigger parcels, who wants one acre on a lake in the middle of nowhere surrounded buy 100 other one acre lot owners?

So you’re saying they build the roads?  I’m just wondering when as the plat was made in 1984 and the land I’ve been looking at has been for sale for years. So do they wait for all the parcels to sell before developing the access?

A lot of the roads/properties nearby do look freshly constructed and there are a lot of markings on trees etc.

This is just up the road from where I live, looking to get a few parcels to have some okay acreage. But yeah there is a lot of 5 acres of swamp for sale 100 miles from anywhere.

Not in our lifetime at the parcels I’m looking at. 60-100 miles from a road with two to three major rivers in-between? Nope.

But it’s still plated like a subdivision.

The one I’m looking at is 750m from the closest road.
