Has anybody heard anything, besides rumors, that someone bought the rights or whatever, to have the gunshow again at Knob Creek?  I’m from Mississippi and had been going there since the early 1990’s and it was always worth the trip. Thanks in advance!

I heard Kenny had an offer from someone to buy the range.  Don't have any details though, except he was holding out for more money.

??

I was under the impression that Kenny (well his dad) had a LONG term lease from uncle sam, as it used to be a Louisville Naval Ordnance testing range during WW2.

Thats the rumor I've always heard.

The range is located at 690 Ritchey Lane in West Point.  I just checked the Bullit County PVA sight and searched for that address.  The whole 241 acres is owned by Kenneth and Steven Sumner, so they own it, it's not a lease.

Will there be a gun show there anytime in April like there used to be?

Are you kidding? You hope that Bullitt County stays gun friendly? I think we can safely assume it will remain so.

I was thinking more along the lines of some housing developments that might spring up around the range
and then the residents would start bitching about the
noise.

Read a topographic map. There's very little flat ground to build on that isn't an unacceptable flood risk.

Man can move mountains, if there is enough money involved.
I never take things being "safe" for granted anymore.
