I post on the SeattleWA reddit page from time to time, mostly to troll. It's hilarious how snobby some of them get over neighborhoods now, like Seattle is some kind of NYC full of ancient historical buroughs. It's not. There is barely any difference between most Seattle neighborhoods.
I had one guy flip out and vehemently deny that Renton is a Seattle suburb. Guy, it's within ten minutes drive of downtown Seattle on a smooth traffic day. Get over yourself.
PS. My grandma passed this fall and we had a police escort for her casket, from Renton all the way up to Holyrood in Edmonds. We had about 5 motorcycle police, the hearse and eight of us drove in the motorcade. We took only back roads through Seattle. I had never seen so many of the Seattle neighborhoods in such a short amount of time - it took us about 45 min to get from Renton to Edmonds with no stops, along lake Washington, etc.
