Well, f--- me.

A small group of us talked our City Council out of an AWB a few years ago, during Lisa Madigan's 30-day preemption window for municipal firearms regulations.

The new mayor and new city council wants an AWB, however. And now they're going to get it.

And I'll have to store my guns somewhere out of town.

The House still must concur and then the governor could veto.   If he does, (and even if he does not)  the IL firearms community of 2M FOID card holders need to get off their butt.

There's still more anti bills in the works too e.g. mag bans and body armor bans

Some of these legislators are an embarrassment.   Not knowing the bills they sponsor, not caring about the precise language used in the bill and giving wrong information (intentionally or not) when questioned.   Or like today saying foolish things like it's OK to pass a bill even if it's a mistake.

There is also concern for "lame duck " officials post election in addition to announced retirements

UP till now I have been content with Bertino-Tarrant's voting record on 2A issues but that ended today.
