Nothing new there. Hey, we let the Fed lock up our neighbors during the war, too. And it used to be illegal to import Chinese. Ugly state. No wonder New Yorkers go to Florida instead of California.

Maybe retitle this thread, "A Not-So-Nice History of Migration to California".
What lessons do you draw from that history and those past events? When I got my first job after college, there was not a single native Californian amongst the dozen or so people in my immediate working group - not even one. |
