This Saturday the KY Classic IDPA match will be conducted in Wilmore on the Bluegrass Sportsman's League grounds BGSLINC.
It will be a unique event because there will be nothing competing except revolvers and .45 ACP 1911's. We have 10 stages and over 100 competitors. If you would like to see some really good shooters running a revolver or 1911, come on out. There is no fee to watch and you might decide you want to shoot the next match.

If you come, bring hearing and eye protection for everyone in your party. You might also want to bring yourself a snack and drink.

Just to give anyone interested some stats from the match...

There were 117 shooters in 2 days. Both days we were done early (before 2) due to very efficient operation of the stages and really efficient squads.

There were 46 revolver competitors and 71 shooting CDP (45 ACP 1911)

There were 14 "expert" revolver shooters. That is super rare. I have never known of that many anywhere but nationals (sometimes).

Everyone had a lot of fun. We had people come from as far west as New Mexico, as far north as New Hampshire, and as far south as Florida.
There is a good chance we may do this same match next summer.
