I still get angry every time this comes around. John was a SOLID dude.

I remember hearing about the shooting and immediately thinking it was John. Sure enough, later that evening they announced his name. I really liked John. I bought, traded and sold about a dozen guns with him.
I had one of his carry guns that he used undercover, but sold it before he died. It was an one of the S&W K-frame 3" custom comp 7-shot gun. He had Robar NP3 it and it ended up rusting on him from his sweat during stake outs. Robar wouldn't warranty it the finish, so he had it blued and traded it to me. I ended up trading it for a Sig 220 to a guy in Quartzite, but don't have the contact info. If you are reading this and still have it, I would love to buy it back from you. |
