I'm sad to say i won't be able to make it today. Had a bit of a fall out with the wife so we are both taking a day off...
Everyone who goes, have fun, dont be "skerred" to talk to the other guys w/ the AR's! If they aren't arfcommers, you can use your Jedi mind tricks and convert them! |

| I think that next time we might want to exchange phone numbers. I was there and asked everyone on the line if they were ARFCOM'ers or knew anything about a group there. One gentleman brought a cannon in a naval carriage and a brass mortar. both around 3 inch bores. |

i hope its not dead. i, myslef, have been very busy working two jobs. however, the weekend after this ill be making a trip out there.
i should be able toset it up to go once a month. thats what ive been doin for the past few months, just havent posted on here. still interested, let me know. |
| I work in Blacksburg most weekends but not his one. When I am there I have no problem slipping away from work for a little "Aroma Therapy" I will keep trying to meet up. Just a suggestion, Show a BFL or ARFCom clothing so we can spot each other. |

Went by there around 12:30. Wish I had gotten to shoot with you guys but there was just too many people there for my tastes. I tend to advoid that range like the plague when there are but a few people there. Seen too many people do stupid things.
The one that tops them all is when a guy showed up while the range was hot and walks out to place his target down range. Everyone starts to yell at him so he looks up then just keeps doing what he was doing. Or the time I stood up from the bench and turned around to find a rifle pointed in my face because some idiot that it would be OK to shoot down range behind me. All that said, I'd still like to shoot with you guys again sometime. I'll try for next month. |

so after all the wanting and planning, i didnt make it! we had a skunk under our house last nite and that fucker sprayed!!!
it was awful. my dogs started barking and scared him, so he sprayed. i went under with the .22 and decomisioned him. but our whole house reeks. thank god for the in-laws! lets try for next month? |

| Well, we had fun today and yesterday for about 4 hours. About 8 of us were there both days and had everything from old H&R .22 revolvers a few AR's, some precision bolt guns, to some Semi 7.62 goodness. I think we fired around 1500rnds total. There weren't many other people there, but those who did come were very responsible with thier weapons and observed cold perfectly. We shot the crap out of the 100yd berm and ruffled up the 25yd berm with impromptu pistol matches. Next time we get together I'll try to let the VAHTF guys know a few days ahead of time. |

Why 7.62? Because when the shootin' starts, people tend to hide behind things.
