Whatever- I don't care to argue how "your" militia is better than that, nor do I care to re-visit previous locked threads. I'll bet though, that 99% of you who are honest with yourselves know of, have met, or had some sort of contact with an individual of that type of weapons grade delusion. They're out there, they exist, and the more "militant" they espouse to be....the more distasteful I find their exsistance. You do lend some reality to the table Matt. Let me add some more. (not just to you, but to all, since this is escapeing the WA HTF section of the forum)

On one hand, a few of you extreme gung-ho guys in the NG do have a point on how the militia mis-represents itself, and on some of the pitfalls of its basis, intentions, and extremes. I don't blame you for doing so..... it was a question that begged an answer.

On the other hand, from some of the posts coming out of your camp, it would appear that some of you are so consumed by your own percieved authority, that you've never been aware of who it is that your commanding officers answer to, and so on, on up the chain of command. (By the people, for the people, should ring a bell)

WE are the people, right here and right now. You, me.... all.

Most of us are not living with mom, and are successful in our own right. A majority of us here have served, and many of us have long since released the chapter of life you're living in now.

So here we are, now. All of us, each with our own perspective on the world we live in..... much of which was earned with blood, sweat and tears, not granted or gifted by uncle sugar. We do know the world as it is, and have made our own way, however precariously. No man here, has earned the right to judge any of his peers, and in my opinion, piss on him if he thinks he has. (especially the service records of members here being slandered without due cause! )

My point is, possibly eluded before, is that the world is a pretty big place, and most of it has little tolerance for extremeist, regardless of where or why they wear their camo. Most folks I know couldn't give two shits about the NG or the militia, nor any of their opinions, or how they might differ.

How we handle those differences of opinion however, is EXACTLY what matters! Little else does..... here or in the rest of our lives. It's what defines us, IMO.

Someone brought up the point, (here or in another thread, forgive me for not remembering who said it), that we are supposed to be on the same side if the shit ever does hit the fan. Excellent point. How about with the remote possibility that the shit doesn't hit the fan?
