Don't forget the poles...
Are you driving the yellow mobile or something else AND are we all staging down at the end of Range 14 like before? RW3 |
Yes, my son will be camping with us. So you can add him to the list.
Whats the range like?
Whats the max distance you can shoot at Dix? |
Range is 200 yards. It looks like typical NJ pine barrens. The lanes each have a small table/bench thingie with a roof. I think they break once every hour to do target change. See you all Saturday! |
Fixed it for ya |

Are your bringing your Sig? Mike |
Anyone have any .308 I could buy? I don't really care what kind (as long as it isn't too expensive, money's kind of tight right now). All I have left are tracers and I don't think they'd let me shoot those at the range.
You wanna shoot a SIG??? I gotz one too - |

AND the Huns, the Czechs, Latvians, etc.... |

OK, I'm getting ready to head out the door to Yankeeville. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Make sure that you bring a GUN!..........................................or two or three |
Heh, you got a loooooong night ahead of you! |
I said, GUN not HUNsilly |

I think I left my digital camera at the range, if anyone found it please let me know.
Wow, you were really having a good time. I'm sure it will turn up. |
I really wish that I could have been there but I've had a nasty case of bronchitis all week I hope that everyone had a great time. I'll definitely see you all at the next Blast. Cheers!
Hey...Your camera was found by Benny (the guy with the 50 Cal. M2), and he gave it to Rob/FMjunkie. Im sure when they get back from camping you will be able to get your camera back. And who knows what sort of pictures you may find on it after the camping trip? I hear some weird stuff happens on these overnight things. |
That was YOUR Sony? I hope you don't go blind with whatever they might film tonight. Maybe they can get a pic of old Red Eye!
Had lots of fun shooting and getting to know everyone today. Allready looking forward to the next one! |
Mike, sorry i didn't see your post earlier or I would have brought it along. I even forgot my own targets, but my thanks to Bobby the Hun for parting with some of his clays - they make for great backstop targets for the .308! Hey, great seeing you all today - looking forward to the next one! November, right? I'll definitely come better-prepared then. About the only thing I don't have is an AR - go figure. h.gif |

I'm back from the wilderness... Need to get unpacked and situated but will post reports and pics later.
And yes, I have the camera. I cannot be held responsible for what you might find on it, though. In this case, what happens in the woods didn't stay in the woods! |
Ahhhh, rested now.
It was a great turn out - great weather. Thanks to FMJunkie for ALL the hard work in coordinating, hosting, etc. DWFan magnaniously donated his winning 1st Prize pick back into the Prize for the next shoot!!! Speaks volumes about his character. Very Generous. Thanks Anthony for tne donated ACES/DEATH shirt - way cool. Thanks to the Ar15.com members and their guests for participating and making it a great turnout. What can I say : Another great shoot and another great night for camping. Lion-Dog's hot streak on the door prizes continues Thanks to FMJunkie for his role as our fearless leader.
Thanks to RAYWOODROW3RD for his hospitality at CAMP ARFCOM and Thanks again to FMJunkie as our FIRE GOD NJ, NY and PA Arfcommers, please make the next NJ Blast a priority. We love to have you. |
Well, NJ Blast XIII is over, and the Evil Black Rifles yet again prevailed. It was great to see the old-timer's and some new folks as well. I'm glad that we have made a new friend, and one who has <Joker>Such Wonderful Toys<Joker> We were lucky to be in the company of one of ARFCOM's very own Site Staff. Good to see you again Thanks to FMJunkie for being a great host and Fire starter extraordinaire, and thanks to Ray for hosting us yet again in the wilds of Barnegat at Buckeye. Every shoot gets better and better and I can't wait for the next one. I'd also like to thank the DOG for his kind words. I keep coming back because of the great people that I have met. I'm not there for the prizes |
First, I want to thank Rob for putting on another great shoot. I don't think the NJ crew would be where it is today, if it wasn't for all of his hard work and dedication. Plus, a big thanks for all the help in getting me to the shoot, camping, dinner, and having the wife watch my daughters while we had so much fin.
I would also like to thank everyone else that showed up at the shoot. I know I didn't meet everyone, and I wish I had. Thanks to all that let me try their weapons out. I don't care what they say about you Yankees in VA, you guys are great. Thanks to Ray, and the Buckeye Gun Club for allowing us to camp at your place. Justin and I had a great time, and we hope to make it back for another one. It was great seeing everyone again, and hopefully we can get some more of you down to the next big shoot in VA. |
Hey folks - MAP was scary awesome with that piece!!! First time he ever picked it up AND there was a strong cross wind and face wind. He clanged the silhouettes 5x5! OMG!!! I look like a Gindaloon right off of the Garlic and Broccoli Rabe boat~~~! Where my music grinder and pet monkey? |

Beny
I am glad you decided to come out to the shoot. It looks like you had a great time and you will fit into this group of gun nuts pretty well. <------ Beny and his Ma Duce. Thank you to FMJunkie for hosting another NJ Blast. It was nice to see old friends again and always great to meet new people who have the same interests as we do. Thank you to Ray Woodward and the Buckeye gun club for letting us use the land as a place to camp. As always we lean many things while camping at night. 1. Fire is good. 2. Fire is hot 3. Red eye is bad 4. When glow sticks (Chem lights) are put into a fire they glow brighter. 5. If you chair has tags on it that say “In the state of California this product….” that only applies if you are in California. 6. A Dog makes a great early warning system to alert you of Red Eye, now if humans would only listen to the dog! 7. If you feed dogs Combos they are you friend, once you run of Combos the dog can care less about you. 8. Fire and Combos do not mix. When the Combo is placed in the fire it will produce a green flame, and will burn for quite a while. 9. A bottle of lighter fluid is fun and hot! 10. Do not try and play games with M1-Matt, when he goes to get more fire wood and everyone disappears into the woods all they will accomplish is to freeze their ass off. |

Damn, I'm sorry I missed it...I had fun on my cruise, though .
Cruise scmooozz, we had a 50 Son |
YO Bobby_the_Hun!!!
We want to see some work-ups on that "Camp Arfcom" sign that will be hanging at Buckeye's campsite before the next BLAST. How about it bud? Anybody else want to post some design ideas? I think what was originally floated was and AR-15 with Crusty the Clown holding it... Any other ideas??? RW3 |
The Ace of Death??? |
Looks like an M-60 to me not a .50 but I could be wrong...
RW3 |
Yup, pretty sure that's a good ol' 60' |
I'll be on it soon |
It sucks I missed another one. Looks like there was a good crowd.
Being a former Coastie, 1 year on a 270' cutter and 3 years on Helo's I can say that ain't no .50 on that bow. M60 if that photo is a few years old. That mount couldn't handle the abuse. On the 270' we had a tripod mount for the BMG welded to the decks (fore and aft) and you still feel it a 'rockin from below. Any machine gun is a good one however.... helps to sink the floating Haitians...oops I didn't really say that did I????
That photo is about 5 days old . I took it myself. Heck if I can tell the difference between a .50 and an M60, though . |

That's what every NY Times reporter says. |
