not long now. wife will be going to philly for a job interview, the step child may head to new york to see her old friends, dog will not be happy, the weekend is usually her time to play in the park. and me, i have a new Bushmaster to break in. ok, i have 2 new glocks too. looking forward to a fun day.

You put on a very good show for us. That was my first time there and I will be going again in the future. I am real bad with names but everyone there was great. Thanks to the guy who brought out the Barret M82 that was kick ass  . The gentlemen who let me shoot his Beretta Storm that was sweet thank you very much that is a very fun little rifle. Ok guys I will post some pics later now I am going to go hop in the shower, when I left at 2:30pm my car said it was 92 F out  .I had allot of fun I hope to see everyone at the next shoot. Matt |

Whew,
 looks like we made it thru a hot one today. Anyways, a big THANK YOU to FMJunkie for another Blast and the BBQ was . Great to see everyone again today and great to see some new faces too. Thanks to 555R for letting me shoot 2 rounds thru the Barrett and also Thanks to Sterling18 for use of his Springfield XD.Some cool weapons from M1-Matt,Lion-Dog,sjauch and Antonio were on hand to drool over.A REALLY HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Dino of Majestic Arms, LTD. for donating the GUN cleaning Kit door prize(WOW).Another BLAST is PAST.Looking forward to the PUMPKIN BLAST.

OK, now that I've recovered from the heat and unpacked the truck, I can make a meaningful post...
Well, it sure was H-O-T today. Especially in front of that grill! But, it was a great day none the less! I want to take a moment to especially thank Mrs. Lion Dog and Mrs. DWFAN for making it out today. Speaking from experience, and in case your no good hubbies didn't tell you, there are few things that make a man feel more loved by his wife than their show of support for his interests. I think its fantastic that you came out and I want to thank you! (If my wife wasn't 8 months pregnant, she would have been there today as well, since she heard some other poor neglected shooter's wives were going to be there) I certainly hope that you will come out again. Well, here are the few pics I took today: Gallery Here's a couple: Mr. and Mrs. Lion Dog (Thom - exactly how does a lyin' dog like you rate such a beatiful wife? ) My precious! Damn it was HOT today. First, I'd like to thank FMJunkie for putting on another fantastic Blast !!! I'd also like to thank the Mapster for bringing his M1 and letting me run a couple of mags through her. But sincerely, I'd like to thank everybody today for making my wife feel welcome, safe and comfortable today. Today was the first time in her life that she has ever fired a gun of any kind. After a half an hour or so she was shooting quarter size 5 shot groups with the 10/22 at 25yds. Warms my heart . She even ran some 44mags today with that big ol' DW I have. BTW, she had a great time today.And thanks to 555R, was the first in our family to ever fire the much hailed  Barrett. I'm never gonna live it down Thanks a lot man she really loved it.And if all of that were'nt enough, she won a sweet Pelican Pistol Case Too. For her own personal use of course Thanks to everyones famous ARFCOM hospitality, and BBQ she has already agreed to come in Oct to CAMP and SHOOT!!! Again, thank you all for making my job easier in introducing her to my OBSESSION Hope see you all at the next one. DWFAN (Mike) |

It looks like you guys had some fun today, even with what you guys call the heat.
I wish I could of made it up for this shoot. Sadly though, my kids start school on Monday and I refuse travel South on 95 on Sundays. Oh well, maybe I'll be able to make the next one. I'm looking forward to some of you yankees coming down for the BRD. Damn!!! I just realized I used up post #8000 in here.

Hey guys!!!! I finally got to the laptop - the sun KILLED me, I am quick burner and like a fool did not sun protect till damage was done so I burned pretty bad. Slept when I got home, took vitamins. Watched a movie took some advil, just got up. Ugh!
FMJ thank you for the great time and BBQ, food was great, BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PIE - ??? Oh and BTW, that "Santa" belly on me is from Mrs. Lion_dog's fabulous food, she's a damn good cook too. I was blessed with her and [cough]she with me [/cough]! How I got her? Well I'll leave that to everyone's imagination . Did you ever see me lick my eyebrows??? Actually I am a Prince in a Frog's body - just gotta lose the body or a good part of it. Mrs. Lion_dog thinks we should have an AR15 BBQ soon - keep you all posted on that one.Bobby - great seeing you, how's that eye today? MAP - as always some fine time together, lets go see RE2 on the big screen. Antonio - welcome back BRO those BRAzilians did you well! zbrane - I'm thinking of shooting today what are you doing? Heck, bring dad - very nice to meet him. M1-Matt - great BAR, even my father-in-law is interested in see that pix. 555R - I didn't shoot the Barrett but I must recognize your tremendous generousity letting any and all to shoot it. Mrs. Lion_dog was reeling from the concussionous(sp) report. I didn't get all the members and their woman's names but I am glad you came and Mrs. Lion_dog was happy to see other females there. Thanks for all the pix and the fine time! |
