Hey,
I've been to Calverton a few times with my brand new Bushy. Being a super Noob, I saw this thread and was bummed that the class was full.

Can people come to watch? My brother-in-law and I would love to watch you guys go through the paces.

Veracity, I can put you on a back up list.

Unfortunately no spectators since we have enough to watch out for on the range. Its difficult when you have others there since safety is priority one. Hope you understand.

Guys, Tuition Payments are due 10/10. If your tutition is not received by that date your spot will be opened up to anyone who has contacted me for a back-up list.

Guys, 10/10 is the due date but if your a few days late no big deal.

As long as I have payment to secure your spot is what matters. This way people can't "Cancel" at the last minute leaving an open spot I do not have time to fill.

I just got a really inexpensive tactical vest from Cheaper Than Dirt. OD Green, way too many cool pockets, cross draw holster, etc.

Yeah, I may roll in there looking like a big dork...but if you're going to go, you might as well go big.

Hey fellas, would it be a good idea to wear some sort of name tag on our backs during the event so we know who's who? We could write our ARFCOM names on a tag since that's the name we're most familiar with.

Ya really who cares what you look like as long as its functional. I still havn't decided if I'm coming as a Civvy or full on with Plate carrier and such. Choices, Choices. Ooh, maybe I'll try one way to start and if I dont like it I'll change out the second part of the day. Hmm...

BTW: I have a BH Thigh holster for AR mags if anyone wants to borrow it. I got it for my B-Day but I'm not going to use it for the class.

Can someone recommend an inexpensive triple magazine carrier that fits on a belt or a leg? I figure a cargo pocket will be too slow. Other than knee and elbow pads, I think this is what I'll run with.

Guys, remember if this is your first formal class hold off on spending $$ on gear. I go over that during the morning lecture.

Also- from what I understand about Calverton there is NO indoor facility so bring a lawn chair to relax and sit down in during breaks and for the morning lecture prior to shooting.

I have a triple mag BH thigh rig and two BH vests. Both carry enough mags for the class. I got them for my B-day from my family. I am not going to use them for the class so if anyone wants to borrow them just let me know and I'll bring them. As Chris said this way you guys wont spend money on gear you may not even like. Also, if someone already has gear but wants to try a different setup for part of the class also let me know. The poor things still have the tags on them and are sitting in my closet.

Same here about vests or LBE gear. I have a Blackhawk commando chest rig that holds 12 mags that I don't think I'm going to use and an USGI LBE that holds 6 mags. I'll throw them in my car if anyone wants to try them or needs something.

Just got a new upper that I hope to use for the class, need to break it in before hand though.

Does anyone have a thigh rig for either a Sig 228 or a Glock 19 i could borrow? With the vest i have, it would be hard for me to draw my sidearm.

On another note.....
Does anyone have a need for free .32 ammo? I came across a few boxes of .32 (looks to be reloaded stuff) and have no need for it. If anyone is interested, i'll bring it with me.
Oh, and i have 1 box of .25 also.
