Left cold on purpose.

Choi is probably not a serious candidate.

Then again, I'm not in much of a mood for incumbents.

There are 3.9 million registered voters in WA

8:09 pm  71% yes, 29% no now.

8:11 pm  67/33

8:13 pm  64/35

8:14 pm  63/37  with 1.4 million ballots counted

8:23 pm 61/39  with 1.79 million ballots counted.   If we can expect 2.1 million total ballots. then there are already more than half that voting yes right now.  :(

Dropping like a rock though, 67/33 now. Let’s hope that KingCo has shot its wad and the rest of the state brings us home.

Settle down. Chances are King or Pierce dropped the first numbers. I'm watching the state site and NO is rising steadily.

The other thread showing record turnout on the dry side is promising. Those will probably be some of the slowest to report in.

Lots of counties haven't reported yet, including Pierce. However, it looks like Seattle wins this round. The courts are next.

Well, looking at the current results, we are fucked.

Estimated outstanding ballots: 332,647*

I-1639
Yes: 1,017,555 (62.3%)
No: 615,394 (37.7%)
Gap: 402,161

So even if 100% of the estimated outstanding ballots are NO, we still fall short:
Yes: 1,017,555 (51.8%)
No: 948,041 (48.2%)

But 107,000 of those outstanding ballots are in KingCo, which went 76/24 for the measure, so there goes 81,000 votes in the wrong column.

Snohomish didn't help, going 60/40 for the measure.  No results yet for Pierce.

Phase III of the resistance plan begins tomorrow.

*I guess unreported counties are not in that total.  Still an uphill battle, based on unreported counties.

Phase I was in the courts trying to get the invalidated due to shenanigans, hoodwinking and cheating.

Phase II was the ballot box.

Phase III is back to the courts which told us we had to pass it in order to challenge it.

Jan 1, 2019 for the age restriction
July 1, 2019 for the rest of it.

How you can have an age restriction for "assault rifles" in January when the definition doesn't go into effect until July is beyond me....

It means we're still fucked, Pierce will vote for it and the other counties don't have the numbers.

According to SOS website, upwards of 744,878 registered voters are still able to be counted.  If 50% turnout is assumed, that is another 372,000 ballots to count, plus the 370,000 still outstanding means there is a slim chance, though a near mathematical impossibility to defeat it

If you fail to "properly secure" your firearm(s) and somebody gets a hold of one and uses it in the commission of a crime, you will be guilty of a felony.

So far, no door-to-door inspections written specifically into the language, however...

No impact, until you go to buy another one.  So you can "panic buy" until 7/1/19 and avoid the extra bullshit.  Just another way they win though, if they convince you to never buy another "semi auto rifle".  You've effectively banned yourself.....

This. The numbers aren't there. If there were swaths of eastern counties uncounted sure, but at this point it's a geographical representative sample. Stats don't work out.

That is no shit.  I see LEO as now either 1)being put in greater danger or 2)turning a blind eye to events and suspects getting more brazen as a result (and see #1).  The lunatics are now truly running the asylum.

Adding insult to injury: hearing fireworks go off since just after 8PM, so someone isn't celebrating retaining the senate or gaining the house; gotta over be something that passed in WA.  I'm in Bothell, so hoping it's something like Prop 1 or 2, but I doubt it.

Unless you're in the system and have to get the license.
Then if they determine you are "ineligible to own firearms" law enforcement "shall take measures to ensure a prohibited person does not possess firearms".
