I was going to ask if we had a source of shrimp. I could buy from HEB but I think that is imported. I'll double check next grocery trip.

So, there's a particular spot on the Texas coast for shrimping. In a particular state zone, you can take X lbs/person/24 hrs. But you can sail into another state zone during that 24 hrs, and again, take X lbs/person. And then next to the two state zones are two FEDERAL zones... see where this is going? We rent one boat, sail in all 4 zones, bring the wives & girlfriends & put them on opposite sides of the boat, we can catch tons of shrimp. Like feed your family for a year amounts of shrimp - if they happen to be out for a stroll that night.

I'm north of Fredericksburg. Draw a 50 mile arc from north to northwest and that is the general area. I have a 500 yd range, plenty of oak trees, a 40ft diameter cement pond and sometimes hogs. I'm working on thermal. Should I get a head mounted or rifle mounted?

But it depends how you plan to use it. Night vision is much better for movement. |

The thing to remember (we had a long thread about it) is that IR lasers will not show up in a thermal optic. So if you helmet mount your thermal sight, how is you gonna aim? |
