On monday evening, John Rich, from the country music duo "Big and Rich" will be at a free concert to support Doug Hoffman in Watertown.

HA!  The dems are getting ripped off.  Say Hi to crazy Joe for us!

What really pisses me off is Joe will be utilizing a Military instillation, and Government support (expense) to further their  cause. At least the North Side Improvement League is a dump compared the American Legion where Doug's appearing.

While I generally don't comment on politics at work, I have been known to say things in meetings that make people shudder.....at least people start engaging instead of just sitting there with pissed off looks on their face...I seriously doubt they'll let me within 100yds of that ass-hole.

I'll post back on the festivities at the Hoffman event.

Looks like it's official; Dede's OUT!
The Republican Party may finally be getting a clue.  [://

Good news for this Halloween!  We still have the election, so let's not count the chickens and all that.

"Scozzafava didn't endorse either of the remaining candidates, opting instead to allow her supporters make their own choice"

This says quite a bit that she won't endorse a conservative candidate. We are well rid of her redardless of who wins on Tuesday.

Well almost; she's still in the NY Assembly.

A Republican in the Assembly is about as useful as a putting a snooze button on a smoke alarm.

Let's remember who the so-called conservatives are, who only backed Doug when it was politically expedient to do so.

I'll be making flags for the concert on monday, Gadsden as well as "Unite or Die".

Wasn't too thrilled to see Hoffman palling around with Pataki, Pataki's the fucking king of the Rinos, but I guess it's help getting Republican support

I'm more concerned about Mike Long's involvement with Hoffman.  The only difference between Mike Long and Shelly Silver is the spelling of their name.  That and I think Shelly is more honest.  He'll screw you right out in the open while Long has made a career of lying to peoples faces then stabbing them in the back with his endorsements.  Notice that while he has been dumping on Dede he was also getting all chummy with Rick Lazio.  Lazio has stated in public the problem with the NY GOP is that they aren't enough like the Democrats and need to change their positions on key issues including supporting gun control.

Imagine that.
Now that she's been exposed as a RINO, she'll proabably defect over to the Democratic Party.

Oh I don't even think she qualifies as RINO anymore. When is her assembly seat up for re-election?

She's on the even year elections.

What a childish pouty temper tantrum move on her part!   I'm betting the party doesn't back her on her next campaign.

Good riddence to bad rubbish.

Conspiracy says  Both party's are in collusion to prevent the emergence of the Conservative Party; Hoffman's election would serve to validate the "undereducated, un-informed" (aka: hicks from the sticks) masses protesting at TEA party's.

New ads running on TV since this weekend for Dede Scozafavva.  I'm guessing these were prepaid ads that were going to run if she stayed in and it was too late pull;

-pro gay marriage
-pro card check

brought to you by the Progressives

aka socialists/communists if you are prone to think that way.  I didn't used to think Progressive = socialists/communist but I do now.
She's toast as a Republican despite her history and her Daddy's "legacy".

ETA-  She's been an R merely for the convenience of the R electability up here.  Not much on conservative ideals.......certainly no loyalty to the party.

Hoffman has plenty of Republican backing now and has already been promised a seat on the Armed Forces Committee (or whatever its' called) by the Republicans.

Looks like the numbers from this evening's news put Hoffman in the lead.

I heard it was more like 50, that came from people in the NNY912 group, who were there.

The Rally at the Fairgrounds in Watertown was pretty cool today.  John Rich, from "Big and Rich", Fred and Jerri Thompson, Capt. Scott O'Grady, and Doug Hoffman, were all there to meet the crowd.

I couldn't resist, I had to wear my Fred Thompson for President 2008 ; - Punch the Hippies - T-shirt.

Very awesome.

Nice to see the outside world getting out the vote in New York.

We attended a "meet & greet" at the American Legion with the above mentioned folks: they we all down to earth, friendly, un-assuming people. No "handlers" or pre-screening, ZERO trouble!

Doug wasn't just a talking head with a hand shoved in your face, no instamatic grin, more like meeting someone at an ARFcom event.

The concert/rally was short, there were fine words of endorsement, without smoke being blown up everyones ass.
Rich brought out his "Rhinestone Guitar" on which he never mentioned, but I noticed a big NRA decal on it.

Thompson was the Tennessee gentleman that one would expect....

FOX News and a few other reporters were present...
there was a table behind the Press stage where some chic sat with a lap-top, blogging on ACE of SPADES HQ

Gadsden flags and 9/12 lined the walls....

Again, ZERO trouble from protests or rabble-rouses, only three local Police and they seemed to be enjoying the festivities too.

I'll post more later!

Well, it's time for the good citizens of NY23 to look ahead to 2010.

Hoffman has a very real chance if the RNC will stay out of the way.
Given that, I'd expect Bill Owens to vote moderately and be susceptible to constituent input over party pressure. So, you folks in his district need to let him hear from you. May I suggest a sort of platform letter like this:

[/Letter/]
Congratulations Congressman Elect Owens on your recent election to the US House of Representatives.

I'd like to suggest some positions for your term.
Reject the Health Care Reform bill outright.
Should the Senate pass Cap & Trade, reject the compromise that comes out of the conference committee.
Deliver us from taxation or at least any legislation that might increase it.
Freedom and Liberty are the solutions to our nations ills. Please oppose any legislation that imposes a government solution
. . .
 . . .
. . .
 . . . .

[\letter\]

You get the idea.

Carry on.
