eject to the left?

Never had an interest in sinister-friendly firearms before now, but the boy is sinister, and just found out in the Handguns You Want Made thread the P-38/P-1 eject to the left, along w/ the Walther Model 4.  Why?

because the P-38 which so many walther designs are bsed on eject lefft the P1 , P5, are all just versions of the P-38
