As the title says.
Been on the look out for a threaded barrel for my m92fs for a few years now. Even back before covid during salad days. Always out of stock anywhere i looked. What gives? I know they are popular but oos for years? wtf. Or is there some secret squirrel sounce i am not aware of? |

You could buy as many as you wanted directly from Beretta for much of the Trump admin. I got a handful of them.
Ran out of stock and they're not doing just-the-barrel runs right now maybe? EDIT: Apparently the Gardone plant got locked down for so long they're massively behind on production of everything. |

send yours out to get threaded if you can't wait for eventual? restock

It's been a running joke for years now that, as soon as Beretta publishes a new sale on their website, the first thing you check is the threaded barrels (and inevitably find they're out of stock). Compact threaded barrels seem to be stocked a lot more regularly (or there's just much lower demand), so perhaps a Compact or Centurion is in your future? |

Thats an idea but i am more trying to quiet my old m92fs down as opossed to adding another to the stable. Although its admittedly tempting. Quoted: send yours out to get threaded if you can't wait for eventual? restock Interesting. Reading up on threading and extending services. Purchasing a spare non-threaded barrel and getting it threaded may be the best option really. I hear a company called tornado tech will do it but I admittedly dont know much about them. Thanks, yeah gonna pass on that vendor i think.
Getting a barrel threaded and extended is definitely an idea tho. |

There was one with an almost identical design that was selling Steyr AUGs for $200 under MSRP last winter when everywhere else was out of stock. They would just take your BTC and never ship an AUG according to angry reviews found elsewhere. |

I've been looking for one too.
My 92A1 came with 14x1 metric threaded barrel. |

@usar_ds
They are spendy but Bar Sto barres will make you one. I have had them make me a few barrels and they make nice stuff. https://barsto.com/product/9mm-beretta-elite/ |

With the news and release of the M9A4, I wonder if they were using all their threaded barrel production towards M9A4s for the past while. Maybe we'll see some threaded barrels start to pop up again (Or maybe you should just buy an M9A4 once they hit shelves ).

Watch out for the ammo stores that pop up accepting crypto as well.
I saw some places had compact threaded barrels in stock. Any reason no one wants to send their barrel out to get threaded? I had my old 92F barrel sent out to AGW in PA to get threaded in 1/2x28. Works in 3 different Berettas I have with three different 9mm suppressors. I'm thinking of sending my Bobcat barrel to ADCO to get extended and threaded. |

I know nothing about this place, have no affiliation with them and have never used them, I just saw the site on a internet search.
https://www.jpgrips.com/order/p/beretta-92-92fs-m9-barrel-threading They appear to be based out of MN. |

Found this…. They are on gunbroker and seem to check out. Figured I would give it a try. The threading is a little odd but SILENCERCO makes a piston for the threading so for the 100 bucks it cost I figured I would try it.

I have a locking block kit on the way. Along with a thread protector. It is 1/2x32. Here is my plan. You need an extended 1/2x 28 piston on most barrels due to the sliding action of the barrel. Instead of an extended 1/2x28 piston I am going to get a 1/2x32 to 1/2x28 adapter and leave it in the suppressor piston. When I get everything I will post pictures and let you know how it goes. |

@usar_ds
Here is everything. I think there is some moderate room for improvement. I need to find a machinist friend but to shoot suppressed if wanted it will work. The barrel chamber was very tight and had to be “massaged” to get it to reliably feed my reloads. But for ~130 bucks it will work. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I have a couple that I just managed to pick up. I know there have been a couple on gun broker selling ridiculously high. It took a lot of looking and I ended up getting lucky on the EE. |
