Have you looked at a Dan Wesson Specialist?

EB Special Forces rail would be pretty sweet...If you can stomach high-end production guns I'd take a long look at DW Specialists or TCPs.

Colts don't belong in this conversation, imo.

I have a few railed 1911s, the DW Specialist is easily the best fitted and best shooting out of the bunch. Then again, I don't own any Wilsons, Nighthawks, or Browns either. That Professional a few posts up certainly wouldn't disappoint if you can get your hands on one.

DW Specialist after its first 200.

Best bang for the buck is Dan Wesson. It's still a production gun, but it's almost as good as a Ed Brown or Wilson at a fraction the price.

Money no object I would go Wilson.

Something between, Ed Brown.

Something between but insanely tight, Les Baer

I love my Ed Brown Special Forces light rail.  It's been a great gun, but I'd probably give it up for a railed Pro.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the manufacturers you have listed.
