I found these two in storage - no labels on the end.
What were they supposed to have in them originally?
It looks like a 228/229, but the case color confuses me.

WAG

P365

Nah... beside the 365 looking like a kid in it's parent's shoes in this box, wasn't the 365 only released in 2017 or 2018? These boxes are older than that.

A 228 would fit nicely IF the cut foam at the muzzle end was another 1/4 or 1/2" longer.

Are you sure it definitely was a Sig?  I've only seen black and blue cases from them.

The case says Sig Sauer on it.

Or am I not seeing it correctly?

I have never seen a SIG case in that color. I’ve seen gray, blackish, red, and blue. Not to mention the cardboard boxes.

Maybe one of the FDE colored 229s they released? I think there was a 229 desert. 229 scorpion. And I thought there was another one but it’s hard to keep track.

Or maybe it was a stand alone case purchased from SIG?

How about a 229C? Slide length sounds about right. Only thing is, mine came in a blackish case.

Wait...OP does not know what SIGs he has that would have come in those boxes?

I’ve got more than one SIG but I can fit all my guns to their boxes or at least pretty close to it

You are absolutely correct. Looking on my phone I totally missed it.

The only Red I've seen are the cardboard boxed CPO guns. Did they do red plastic too?

These cases came standalone. Looking at the foam, I'm not sure they've ever had a pistol put in them.

Kind of look like my 1997 P239 box but it's blue.

I saw another thread on sigforum with a tan case like that. One guy said his P6 shipped in one if I read correctly. Another had a photo of one with a P232 label. No one seemed to know the significance of the tan though,

I have a red case and a couple blue ones like that. IIRC the red was a CPO and the blues were new.
