[ARCHIVED THREAD] - What kydex are you guys using? Colt New Agent 1911 is my new CC. :-)

I tried in the carry issues section, but thought you guys might know better. It’s directly in yo wheelhouse.

Traded in to a Colt New Agent 1911 and want to get an OWB Kydex holster.

I really like the looks of the Bravo Concealment, but I dont think they make one for 3" 1911.
Looking at the DSG Alpha now.

Any other ones I'm missing?

I used to use a hybrid kydex leather Crossbreed.

But i really came to say I'd reccommend taking your New Agent to a smith to have the front of the trench tapped and threaded for a gold/brass bead shotgun midsight. I had that done on mine and love it. I could take some pics for you to get an idea if your interested.

I was thinking of using a CTC laser, but who knows. I get gun-ADD, so I change stuff up often.
I thought about sending it to Nighthawk and having them sprinkle some awesome on it also.

I've been using Blue Line Concealment. Nice, solid, well-finished holster at a reasonable price. I have one for my 1911 & Glock.

Did you go visit your new girlfriend?

I’ve carried IWB for years, but I like OWB way better.
I need to see if anyone makes 9mm mags with a baseplate. The magwell on this makes it so I have to thumb the mags to seat them.

I never could get into crossbreed holsters. Bought 3 hoping but each one was a disappointment. Finally learned my lesson. Will have to sell those holsters one of these days

I had their IWB one with my G26 and it was a good holster. Simple, not to expensive and worked well. I've thought about getting their OWB at times for different guns. Let us know how it goes.

Sweeeeeet carry gun. How does that shoot for you with those trench sights?

Haven’t even shot it yet.

Holster arrived. I just need to tighten up the tensioning screw and wear it for a while.

Is the mag chute a normal item for them? I never noticed one before on that particular model.

No it’s aftermarket.
I need to gate some mags with baseplates.

I'm actually not usually a fan of mag chutes but on that one it seems like it's a good idea. Maybe give a bit more area to grip...... But yeah, loading with your thumb is probably no fun.
