All of these Springfield Pro threads got me looking.

Right now I am torn between a SA Pro or a Wlison Combat CQB Elite.  Local shop has the CQB in stock and I found a Pro on GB.

Which one would you chose and why?

I can't get both right now.....

Pro..but I'm biased.

Honestly I doubt you can go wrong. Do you want one that looks more modern or more traditional.

Kind of a new school vs old school look question to me.

As someone who has never had any luck with Springfield pistols I would say Wilson.

I can help here. Get the PRO. It will hold it's value MUCH better especially in this 1911 economy. It is very soft for used high end 1911's. I have a Wilson professional, A Wilson CQB and a Wilson Elite Professional. I didn't get the PRO: Reason being the front strap checkering on the PRO is way too coarse for me. I am now wearing gloves when I shoot the 1911 and I will be getting a PRO. It's just a really nice 1911. I also have a guncrafter, Ed Brown, Les Baer, STI, Springfield, and several Dan Wessons.

I’d go for the Professional. In fact I did!

I'd go Pro and find some cocobola double d's to put on it.

Classic blued with no damn FCS and a checkered front strap tickle my cockles.

The pro is not blued, it's Black T.

I'd go with the Pro too as it'll be the only one worth more than half what paid for it the day after you buy it.  And a Springfield Custom is just as much a workhorse as any other $3K 1911.

Already have Nighthawk. WC and the Pro are the two holes to fill collection wise.

Flip a coin then...  either way you win between the two.  I personally have a big soft spot for NH they tickle me just the right way.  After CZ Shadow 2 is a NH Shadow Hawk Govt on my list of guns I want.

The pro is far better than the CQB. Tighter fitted and more accurate
