I was looking at the CZ P09C as my next purchase. I dont have a DA/SA polymer handgun so this is the one i think i am going to go with. I was looking at the HK P30 but it isnt optics ready and i already have a VP9 and VP9L. While researching, it looks like there were some reliability issues early on that may have had to do with optics screws that were too long that were hitting the extractor. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks |

I haven't gotten around to actually picking one up (prioritized other purchases/been very busy), but I had the opportunity to look at one the other day and I was impressed-- DA pull was very nice. |

The P09c is a P07 with cosmetic upgrades. The P07 is a banger of a gun. |

I have a P09c nocturne. The pistol itself is nice. Nice serations, good sights, the ability to use either a safefy or decocker is really cool. Mine has been 100% reliable using the appropriate fasteners. The trigger is god awful. Its obscenely heavy, with a lot of take up, a crunchy break, and a long reset. It makes the gun totally unpleasant to shoot in factory form. |

Yeah, the one I got to look at had what I would call a good-to-great trigger for a factory trigger. I recognize my experience was very much limited, but I wouldn't call it an awful trigger. |

My only gripe about the guns in general is that there is no easy way to simulate the single action trigger over and over for dry fire |
| Plenty of tutorial videos on how to polish up the CZ trigger system. Have done it on all of mine and it makes for a night and day difference. You can even drop down to a 15 lb hammer spring and still use the stock firing pin and spring. Once you start going below 12-13 lb hammer spring then you may run into failures to fire on the harder primers out there. If you want match light trigger then 11 lb hammer spring and longer firing pin from CGW/CZ Custom. |

I think the trigger is decent. Gritty but not life ending. I love mine. But lately I've been having an issue where it locks back prematurely on the final round not when it's empty. This started before I mounted an optic on it. Last I saw someone else have this issue, they basically shot more rounds and it disappeared. They're also kind of heavy. But I think the weight helps mitigate recoil since it snaps about as bad as a full size striker fired handgun. (If anyone knows how I can fix this issue, do tell.) |
